Smt. Gulabben Rasiklal Doshi and Smt. Kamlaben Mafatlal Mehta Institute of Kidney Diseases & Research Centre — Dr. H.L. Trivedi Institute of Transplantation Sciences (IKDRC-ITS), Ahmedabad, is the premier institute for kidney diseases, dialysis, and transplantation in India.
Established in 1968 by the legendary Prof. H.L. Trivedi, the institute has performed over 6,000 kidney transplants, making it one of the highest-volume transplant centres in Asia. The institute is a government-funded charitable institution under the Government of Gujarat.
IKDRC-ITS serves as the parent institution of GUTS and houses all GUTS departments including Urology, Nephrology, Paediatric Nephrology, Anaesthesiology, Pathology, Radiology, Critical Care Medicine, and Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion.
